Chang Technologies provides managed IT support for small businesses and healthcare practices in Rancho Santa Margarita and across Orange County. That includes help desk support, Microsoft 365 and email, networks and Wi-Fi, business phones, security basics and backups, delivered on-site or remotely.
Everyday IT support
Someone can't print, a laptop is slow, a new hire starts Monday. We handle the daily requests, set up new devices and accounts, keep software updated, and keep a simple record of what you have so problems get solved faster each time.
Microsoft 365 and business email
We set up and manage Microsoft 365 for small offices: email on your own domain, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, and the licensing behind them. We also take on the messy jobs, such as moving email from GoDaddy or another host, reconciling who has which license, fixing titles and departments in the directory, and offboarding people without losing their files.
- New tenant setup and domain connection
- Email migrations with minimal disruption
- License and account clean-up
- Shared mailboxes for addresses like info@ and billing@
- Offboarding with files moved to a safe location before accounts are removed
Networks and Wi-Fi
A reliable office network is mostly good planning: the right equipment, sensible layout, and clear labeling. We design and install networks, Wi-Fi that covers the whole space, firewalls, and cabling, and we document how it's built so anyone can support it later.
Business phones (VoIP)
Cloud phone systems let a small office have a real phone setup without a server closet: a main number, extensions, voicemail, after-hours routing, and fax. We help you choose a provider, port your numbers, and set it up so calls reach the right person.
Security basics and backups
Most incidents trace back to a handful of gaps: no multi-factor sign-in, old accounts left open, unpatched devices, and backups no one has tested. We close those gaps first and then check that they stay closed.
Remote support with RMM
Not in Orange County, or just don't want to wait for a visit? We use remote monitoring and management (RMM) software to keep an eye on your computers and servers and fix most problems without anyone traveling. Remote clients get the same service as local ones, wherever you are.
- Monitoring and alerts for devices and servers
- Automated updates and security patching
- Hands-on help through secure screen sharing
- Device inventory and reporting
How support is arranged
You can use us as your managed service provider (MSP) or hire us project by project. MSP pricing is a monthly fee based on your number of users and devices and the complexity of your platforms, with a written scope so you know what's covered. One-time projects, like a migration or a new network, are quoted at a fixed fee. Email us to talk through which fits.
Common questions
What is managed IT support?
Managed IT support means one provider looks after your office technology on an ongoing basis, usually for a monthly fee. That covers help for your team, device and account management, security basics, backups, and planning, so problems are prevented or fixed quickly instead of piling up.
Do you provide on-site IT support in Irvine, Mission Viejo and nearby cities?
Yes. Chang Technologies is based in Rancho Santa Margarita and provides on-site IT support throughout Orange County, including nearby Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Ladera Ranch, Coto de Caza, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel and San Juan Capistrano, as well as Irvine, Tustin, Santa Ana, Orange, Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Dana Point and San Clemente. Many fixes are handled remotely first to save time.
Can you move our email from GoDaddy to Microsoft 365?
Yes. We plan and carry out migrations from GoDaddy and other email hosts to Microsoft 365, including mailbox moves, DNS changes, license assignment, and cleanup of accounts that are no longer needed.
Can you set up a business phone system for a small office?
Yes. We set up cloud-based business phone (VoIP) systems, including call routing, voicemail, fax, and moving existing phone numbers over, so your office can make and receive calls on desk phones, computers and mobile devices.
Can you support businesses outside Orange County?
Yes. We use remote monitoring and management (RMM) software to monitor, update and fix computers and servers from anywhere, so businesses outside Orange County get the same service as local clients. On-site visits are focused on Orange County.
Do you support remote or hybrid staff?
Yes. We set up secure sign-in, device management and file access so people can work from home or on the road, and we support them remotely.
